PROJECT FIRE ENGINEER
Solis Fire Engineers is a boutique fire safety engineering consultancy that provides innovative and cost-effective fire safety services to clients across Australia and internationally. We work on a wide variety of projects, including Defence, Health, Aviation, Tertiary Education, Data Centres, Automated Industrial Facilities, large scale Infrastructure Projects, Public Event Venues, Stadiums, major mixed use Residential Developments and Commercial Precincts.
We are looking for an experienced project fire safety engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing fire engineered solutions and leading projects for a wide range of buildings and infrastructure developments. Your role will include liaising with clients, architects and other consultants, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A bachelor’s degree in fire engineering or a related discipline

At least 2 to 3 years of work experience as a project fire safety engineer or a similar role

A proven track record of running projects on your own from inception to completion

A strong knowledge of fire dynamics, fire modelling, fire protection systems, and fire risk assessment

A high level of proficiency in using software tools such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder, CFAST, and B-RISK

A very good understanding of the National Construction Code as well as Australian and international fire codes and standards (e.g. FM, NFPA and EN/BS) and other relevant fire safety regulations and guidelines

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
